Walter George Purches (Biographical details)
Biography
Served in the Ordnance Corps of the British Army. Acquired a number of objects in Crete in the early 20th century while on military service which were subsequently bequeathed to the British Museum by his daughter-in-law, Winifred Kate Purches (q.v.).
